Description
Start:1/7/11
Finished: 4/8/11 (My shortest time yet)
Paper:I was finally given a reason to buy a new pad because the customer wanted a large portrait that needed to be done on an A2 pad. So I am happy to say the pad I used was Winsor & Newton Extra Smooth Bristol Board.
Pencils Mostly 0.5 HB and B Mechanical Pencils, 2B, 4B and 6B Derwent Sketching pencils. Pencil rubber, cut up rubber and rubber stick. Que-tips, tissues and blending sticks.
Overall Time Taken: 27 hours, which is surprising considering how large the drawing was but the face was easy enough.
Favourite Part: Luke's eyes. He has such big eyes in the photo, I really enjoyed translating that to the page as well.
The Part That Made Me Want To Rip My Hair Out: The wool jumper. It was a lot harder to get it right then I thought it would be, especially the white and grey pattern and the collar!
